RekallMe does not run every part of itself. Some of what the app does is carried out by other companies, and where those companies handle your information they are called sub-processors.
This is the complete list. If you want to know where something you saved ends up, the answer is here.
| Who | What they do for RekallMe | What they see | Where |
|---|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Stores your account, your memories and your files. Runs the database and sign-in. | Everything you save | Sydney, Australia |
| Amazon Web Services | Runs the service that sits between the app and everything else. | What passes through while it is being processed | United States |
| Anthropic (Claude) |
Reads what you save to write its title and summary, pull out dates and details, and answer your questions when you search. | The content being saved or searched | United States |
| OpenAI | Creates the search representation for every memory so search can work by meaning. Also stands in when Anthropic is unavailable, reading the same content. | The content being saved or searched | United States |
| Hostinger | Runs the email we write to you from and receive replies at. | Email correspondence only — never your memories | See Hostinger's terms |
Two more companies are involved, but through your device rather than through us:
Your memories, files and account are stored in Sydney. The AI processing happens in the United States — your content is sent there to be read and a result returned, which is how the product works. That is a disclosure of your information overseas, and we remain accountable to you for it.
When you delete your account we remove your files and every record we hold — see rekallme.com/delete-account for exactly what happens.
To be straightforward about one thing: we do not currently send a deletion instruction to the AI providers. They do not offer a way to delete a single person's past requests, and we hold no copy of your content with them beyond the request itself. We would rather say this than let you assume otherwise.
If we add a sub-processor that handles your personal information, we will update this page and tell you in the app before it starts. If you want to be told by email as well, write to support@rekallme.com.
